Real Wedding: Lauren & Kyle

Clients: Lauren & Kyle
Location: The Hatcher Estate

The outdoor ceremony and reception took place at a beautiful private estate. Lauren wanted an elegant, romantic look with a soft color palette and lots of beautiful flowers. Their custom stationery and signage designed by KME Paperie included a pink and teal plaid design with scalloped eyelet detailing and accented with rose illustrations to flatter the scripted calligraphy.

The romantic florals by Philip of East Sac Florist in creamy whites and dusty pinks and lavender included peonies, roses, hyacinth, dahlias, and dusty miller and were wrapped in silver satin ribbon. The bridal party wore draped, one-shoulder grey chiffon dresses that mimicked the brides’ embellished, off-the-shoulder, pleated taffeta gown. The groomsmen were attired in dark suits with light pink ties, except for the groom whose plaid tie matched the stationery.

Lauren & Kyle have an amazing network of family and friends – and they drew us into their lives immediately. Both of their Fathers had battled cancer in the past year, so they chose to gift their guests with American Cancer Society donations as favors. In fact, Lauren’s father was undergoing treatment. during the planning process. In fact, up until 1 – 2 weeks before the wedding, we were all unsure if he would be able to walk his daughter down the aisle. It should be unsaid that the emotions were high during both ceremony and reception – everyone was feeling the love!

Romantic tablescapes with a chic vintage feel for the 130 guests became a design collaboration between KME and East Sac Florist. Grey linens, pink napkins and white dinnerware set the stage for the grand centerpieces of live grass that acted as table runners. To make sure we had the romantic lighting the couple desired, we used plenty of candles on white pillars of different sizes along with silver votive holders. The 4-tiered chocolate cake placed under a large oak tree strewn with hanging lanterns was covered in white fondant and embellished with pink handmade fondant bows, brooches and fresh flowers. Guests dined on fresh Mexican food and sipped on margaritas, then danced the night away along with the happy couple.
