Kelly and David met at work – Kelly sold electrical signage and David is an electrical contractor. Naturally, when they crossed paths at a tradeshow, sparks flew. We traveled from Tahoe to Wine Country to find Kelly and David a venue that had everything they were looking for: great food, fun cocktails, an all-inclusive spot with lots for their traveling guests to experience. We found that fit at The Meritage Resort and Spa. Kelly asked for a Midsummer Night’s Dream design with lots of jewel-tones and we were prepared to give her just that!

Kelly and David had an candle-lit wedding in the Meritage Wine Cave, anchored by a wooden backdrop with flower-filled manzanita branches and an aisle lined with twinkle-light filled lanterns. Bridesmaids carried flower-covered twinkle-lit lanterns to continue the theme. Once guests witness their nuptials, guests headed to the Vineyard Terrace to enjoy libations including Kelly’s signature Moscow Mule served in copper mugs and yummy bites like Mini Beef Wellington and Panko-crusted Artichoke Hearts.

Once the Cocktail Hour had completed, guests entered into the Meritage Ballroom that we had transformed with deep plum lighting, tall olive trees, floral-laden manzanita arrangements atop wooden and linen tables, accented with mercury glass candles and more twinkle-lit lanterns. A starry night lit dance floor site center stage and was surrounded by luxe lounge furniture and silver antler accent tables. Guests dined on plated Filet and Halibut with wine country-inspired accoutrements before noshing on gourmet cookies and dancing the night away on a starlit floor. Kelly and David spent the remainder of their evening on the dance floor, enjoying the photo booth and enjoying the company of their friends and family. Kelly and David were an absolute delight to work with and we wish them many years of wedded bliss. Congratulations, Kelly and David!
