Often times, the greenery in wedding florals is just filler or used as an accent. Instead of letting the greenery huddle in the background, why not mix in something with a different texture to you wedding day decor? Succulents offer a different look and feel, and they’re also more sturdy and hearty than your usual greenery.
Small succulents make great favors! You can put them in little pots or different types of containers that tie into the theme of your wedding. By adding little signs or labels, they can even double as escort cards.
I personally love succulent boutonnieres. They can be mixed with florals or can stand on their own for guys that don’t want to wear girly flowers. What dude wouldn’t want to wear a veritable cactus on his lapel?!
Of course, you can even add succulents to your wedding cake! It’s definitely something different than the standard roses cascading down the cake – and the gorgeous purple hues really pop in this example.
