Emily and Rick met through a mutual friend and hit it off right away. After dating for 2 years, Rick popped the question when they were visiting Emily’s family in Utah for Thanksgiving. They took a hike together and at the top of the hill, Emily found Rick down on one knee.
When Emily and Rick came to Team KWE, they were excited to make their wedding visions come to life. They expressed that they wanted to create a fun and serene atmosphere that included a lot of sparkles – Emily’s request, of course! Emily and Rick loved the feel of Sacramento’s own Crocker Art Museum and chose this as their venue for their special day. Through stunning floral arrangements, textured linens, and a color palette of radiant orchid, Pantone’s color of the year, and shades of grey, Team KWE went to work on making their vision a reality.
Guests arrived at the Crocker Art Museum early in the evening for the ceremony. After watching Emily and Rick exchange vows in the historic ballroom, everyone moved into the courtyard to get the celebration started. Guests enjoyed drinks from the bar, including the couple’s signature drink of choice, the Moscow Mule, and delicious passed appetizers. When the wedding party was introduced, they danced out to surprise songs chosen by the Bride and Groom, including “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins and “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus. Emily and Rick are huge country fans and go to concerts together all of the time, it was only natural that their first dance be set to George Straight’s “Carried Away”. It was truly beautiful and moved everyone that was in attendance.
Emily and Rick spent the remainder of their night surrounded by their closest family and friends. This wedding party knew how to party! The love between them is so strong and Team KWE was honored to work with them for their special day. We wish you both love and happiness in your marriage. Congratulations, you two!
