Tying the knot on a desirable date such as 9/10/11, Alecia and Josh’s wedding at the Heavenly Resort in Tahoe was nothing short of intimate and beautiful. With the groomsmen in gray suits and the bridesmaids in a personalized range of blue dresses, the colors accented the rustic location perfectly. The contrast between the bridesmaids simple white baby’s breath bouquets and the bride’s vibrant, fall inspired bouquet was breathtaking and reflected the outdoorsy vibe of the ceremony.
This wedding was not only romantic and beautiful, but very much personalized with touches from both the bride and groom. The couple gave away little honey bear jars filled with local honey as favors for their guests in honor of where they first met – Golden Bear. Josh, being a seasoned graphic designer, created all of the stationery for their wedding, including the invitations and the reception pieces. The flower vases were DIYed by Alecia herself, tinting the mason jars blue and accenting them with burlap, raffia and mini pine cones. This DIY project can be found on our blog, shared by Alecia! To mimic the rustic texture throughout the room, the bride also used burlap for the table runners. These personal touches allowed the couple to showcase some of their personal talents for their guests to admire! It truly made their wedding that much more special. KWE was honored to have a part of Alecia and Josh’s wedding and we wish you both many years of happiness and love in your marriage!
