From Marchesa’s Spring collection comes this frothy, ruffled tulle confection that would make for a dramatic bridal gown. The sweet peach color makes it wearable for a day or night time wedding. I see this dress paired with touches of black and silver (like the black clutch pictured) and a pair of glam chandelier earrings.

Vera Wang’s signature black sash adds elegance to this chic, shimmery grey chiffon gown with sparkling metallic sequined bodice. Voluminous layers of chiffon create a bubble effect that adds glamour and a touch of regality. Her collection featured light washes of silver to darker cement greys. Grey color palettes are HOT for 2011 weddings!

Among Lhuillier’s floral-inspired Spring  show was this ultra feminine deep v-neck creation with beautiful pleating on the bodice and silk flower details trailing down a full skirt, all finished with a thin, sleek violet sash. Perfect for an outdoor wedding complete with a creamy pastel palette and lush florals. Shorter versions of this design would make stunning bridesmaids dresses.

Rivini’s Fall collection included a style for every bride. The runway was full of stunning gowns with elegant drop waists, bejeweled waistlines over lace, full tulle skirts with long silk sashes, modern silhouettes of structured taffeta, and skirts of three-dimensional roses. The picture above is a romantic strapless art deco design. The column-style gown adds length while the silk ruching hugs every curve. The design on the the skirt would be perfect for a 30’s or 40’s themed wedding. The structured cocktail dress is easier to dance the night away in while still capturing the vintage feel – it would make a great Reception Dress.

With the popularity of ballerina style in fashion on behalf of the Black Swan thriller that premiered this Winter, black has become a rich go-to color. Oscar de la Renta’s Spring show began with casual neutral pieces then brightened up with a rainbow of sorbet colored gowns and ensembles and ended with darker, more elegant pieces. Yards of fluffy tulle, structured taffeta, and feathery chiffon in black and white danced down the runway. Touches of white fur made an appearance in a Winter-worthy white stole and cocktail-length skirt reminiscent of the Swan Queen.  Pairing this statement color with a sleek chignon and bow accents completes the look.
Would you choose any of the unique pieces from next years collections as your bridal gown?
