Recently featured in Our Weddings Magazine! When Dave and Scott met they instantly knew that their first date sealed the deal between the two of them. When it came time to pop the question, they planned a dual proposal for their third anniversary. They proposed to each other at the top of Twin Peaks in San Francisco at sunrise over a bottle of champagne. How sweet!
It was important to Dave and Scott that the wedding would be fun, aesthetically cohesive, and not too over the top. Both of them work at UC Davis so it was only natural that they chose the Robert Mondavi Food and Wine Institute at the UC Davis Good Life Garden for their venue. Offering a beautiful olive grove for an outdoor ceremony and having ample lawn space for a gorgeous reception, this venue was perfect for the two of them. Through a fun color palette of yellow, white, green and blue (inspired by the Presidio), stunning floral and succulent arrangements, and fun photos of their adventures together throughout, Team KWE went to work to turn Dave and Scott’s wedding vision into a reality!
On this sunny April afternoon, guests arrived and found their seats in the naturally beautiful olive grove. After listening to readings presented by their loved ones and witnessing Dave and Scott commit their love to one another, guests were ready to celebrate the newlyweds! Attendees moved to the lawn for the cocktail hour, where they enjoyed refreshing beverages and a cheese display from Magpie Cafe, impressive enough to please a true cheesemonger.
Dave and Scott were introduced as a newly married couple to Prince’s “I Wanna Be Your Lover” and sat down for a delicious meal. Magpie did not disappoint, making a gorgeous display of grilled Tri-tip and seasonal veggies. After multiple entertaining (and hilarious) toasts from friends and family, Dave and Scott opened the dance floor with their first dance. The dance floor was absolutely packed until the very end of the evening! We absolutely loved working with this amazing couple and we wish them many years of love and happiness in their marriage. Congratulations, Dave and Scott!
