Real Wedding: Alison and Zach

When Alison and Zach came to Team KWE for guidance on their wedding, it was clear that they were each other’s best friend.  The two shared a fantastic sense of humor and a true love of food. Zach proposed to Alison with a Christmas ornament – and afterwards they celebrated together with friends and family at local restaurant Ella.

Alison and Zach wanted to create a fun and vibrant atmosphere for their wedding day. It was more important to them to have good food and fun – but of course, Alison wanted it to be pretty too! They started by choosing a vibrant yet simple color palette of eggplant and lavender with touches of blush, ivory and turquoise.  By having an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, guests were able to experience the best of both worlds on this beautiful October afternoon in Sacramento.  With gorgeous floral arrangements, textured linens, and vibrant yet elegant decor, Team KWE brought Alison and Zach’s wedding visions to life.

Guests arrived at the Old Rose Garden in Capitol Park for a stunning outdoor ceremony.  The aisles were lined with bundles of baby’s breath – a simple and whimsical touch.  Afterwards, everyone traveled to Mulvaney’s B&L Next Door in downtown Sacramento for a fun-filled reception.

During the cocktail hour, guests had the opportunity to fill out a personalized “Mad-Lib” for the newlyweds, offering advice or loving comments.  Guests were then treated to a family-style dinner, filled with platters of delicious farm to table cuisine that could be passed along the table, inciting lovely dinner conversation.

Afterwards, the night was spent “eating, drinking and being married”!  Alison, a pastry chef at Sacramento’s own Ginger Elizabeth, made all of the desserts and her Maid of Honor, Ginger herself, made the delectable and stunning wedding cake.  Alison and Zach spent their special day surrounded by their closest family and friends, celebrating their love.  Team KWE was truly honored to work with this amazing couple.  We wish you both many years of happiness and love in your marriage.  Congratulations, you two!
