Accessorize Your Wedding with Lush Velvet

Now that the days are starting to cool off and Fall is with us it’s great to be inspired by all of the design elements that come with the cooler months. Luxurious textures such as velvet in equally rich colors like chocolate, burgundy, royal blue, and emerald green evoke a change in seasons. Velvet ribbon is an easy way to dress up just about anything in your wedding, from a sash for your gown to napkin ties.

Need to dress up your peep-toe shoes? Personalize them with a little handmade love.

  1. Cut 3 strips of vintage velvet ribbon in 7 inch, 4 inch, and 3 inch lengths.
  2. Center and adhere the 4 inch section to the top of the shoe using a glue gun.
  3. Now, layer the 3 inch section on top.
  4. Lastly use the 7 inch section to tie a knot around both.
*You can also incorporate millinery flowers for a vintage feel.
