She started her event planning career working for lobbyist and politicians on campaign fundraisers, receptions, and private dinners. She has had the luxury of working for some of the state’s key players over the years. Sarah started to turn her attention towards weddings and other social events planning several events throughout California. Sarah loves turning ordinary canvasses into something extraordinary. With Sarah’s ability to turn visions into a reality she is guaranteed to make your event unforgettable.

Whether planning a reception for 10 or 500, her attention to detail and planning for the unexpected is what sets her apart. Add in her experience with design and logistics and it’s the perfect combination!

    Kendall spends most of her days running around with her toddlers, Macy and Ben, and her dog, Pooch. She also loves singing, bike riding, dates with her husband and having dinner with friends.

Kate Whelan Events™ was first established in 2008, specializing in award winning design, planning and coordination for special events, such as weddings, social occasions, and corporate gatherings. Owner and Senior Event Consultant, Kate Whelan, has been in the event planning industry since 2003, and has assembled a team of creative consultants that assist in executing the production for each KWE event.

Now taking on a limited number of exclusive events per year, Kate Whelan Events™ continues to provide a boutique event planning experience customized to each of its unique customers. From luxurious, glamorous, affairs to simple, elegant, events, our design languages are flexible. Our Sacramento Studio is currently located in midtown at 1808 Q Street, with a second office in San Francisco and all meetings are by appointment only.
